Semyon Khanin is an artist and poet writing in Russian, a translator of Latvian poetry into Russian, editor of numerous poetry collections of Russian and Latvian poets. He is the compiler of the antology Latvian/Russian poetry. Poems in Russian written by Latvian poets. Books of Khanin’s poems have been published in Latvian, Czech, Ukrainian, Serbian, Italian, and Georgian. He is an author of Just Now (2003), Missed details (2008), Afloat (2013). His selected poems published in 2017 under the title But not with that. Khanin makes his own performances and installations too (One face theater, Three dimensional poetry etc.).
